Children's Support Worker, Temp to Perm, £18,000 - £22,000, West Berkshire, Therapeutic Care

Your new company
My client are an incredibly friendly and forward thinking children’s service provider who provide specialist therapeutic residential care and treatment for children and young people aged 5 to 18. My client was established in 1990 and has grown from strength to strength since then with now have 4 children’s services situated in rural surroundings in West Berkshire. They are incredibly passionate about the children they support and their main focus is their development and rehabilitation. They also own multiple horses which all the children and young people have access to help with emotional growth and learning. They are an incredibly energetic, friendly and transparent company who are looking for lively, passionate and committed individuals to join their team.

Your new role
In your new role you will provide an excellent standard of Individualised care while meeting the emotional, physical and developmental needs of the children and young people. You will work to enable the children and young people to build resilience, develop social and emotional skills and enable them to reduce risk of perpetrating further sexual harm. You will always promote the positive experiences and progress of the children and young people while promoting life skills to work towards independence at every step of the way. You will also keep records and update files accordingly and given the responsibility of a key child/young person. You will also act as a role model to the children and young people and will uphold clear and consistent boundaries at all times.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will need a friendly, positive and resilient personality and to also display empathy, creativity and a real sense of fun.
  • Have an NVQ/ Diploma Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development or be willing to work towards
  • Full UK Driving licence is essential due to rural Location
  • Be Flexible

What you'll get in return
The successful candidate will get a generous Salary of £18,000- £22,000 (dependant on experience) plus up to £2,500 sleep-in allowance, my client will also cover the cost of your DBS check. You will also receive 28 days paid holiday
