Asset Manager required to provide leadership for a strategic asset function in Somerset

Your new company
Joining as an Asset Manager, you will operate in a senior post overseeing a large strategic asset management function for a public sector property portfolio which includes both housing and corporate assets. You will be working for a public sector organisation who pride themselves on the delivery of a results focused culture, maximising performance across a number of different service areas. You'll be working from Taunton, your new office easily accessible from the train-station and M5.

Your new role
You will be tasked with providing leadership for a team delivering strategic asset management for both housing and corporate assets along with landlord responsibilities for leased assets. As an Asset Manager, you will be providing direct line management and strategic direction to the team whilst also taking responsibility for the delivery of the performance outcomes. You will also oversee all disposals and acquisitions and take a lead on high profile property transactions.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will have a track record of being able to make decisions relating to asset management strategy and function. You'll also have a high level knowledge of asset management and a clear understanding and experience of the responsibilities within which a local authority must operate.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will be rewarded with an initial 6 month contract with a likely opportunity to apply for a permanent role following the initial 6 months, if this is desired. You'll receive either an hourly or daily rate which can be negotiated with payment through an umbrella company.
