Project Surveyor position available based in Chippenham but covering the Wiltshire area.

This is a leading Public Sector Organisation who strive on their excellent customer service. This organisation are based in Chippenham and cover the Wiltshire area. I am seeking an experienced Project Surveyor to work within the Asset team.

Your new role
The primary function of this role is to manage the delivery of the non-gas service and inspection contracts across Group. This key asset management role has the responsibility to coordinate and manage regulatory and health and safety compliance and risk management for key projects including; legionella and water hygiene, fire risk, alarms and emergency lighting, lifts, radon, and electrical installations. This post has responsibility for the contractors and specialist consultants employed to deliver our servicing, testing and compliance work for non-gas related installations. The role is responsible for ensuring installations meet regulatory standards, works and servicing provide value for money, and customers and staff are involved in continually improving service delivery. This role is also responsible for managing and reducing risk in these key areas, required to liaise closely with colleagues, and provide regular internal awareness training.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience of working in an asset management servicing or maintenance field. Experience of procurement best practice and of procuring contracts and managing external contractors and suppliers. Experience of delivering servicing works programmes, tendering and using schedule of rates. Project management experience. Comprehensive understanding and practical experience of water and electrical systems and their maintenance. Experience in health and safety compliance and risk management for key projects including; legionella and water hygiene, fire risk, alarms and emergency lighting, lifts, radon, and electrical installations. Qualified to BTEC, HND/HNC or equivalent ability or vocabulary, verbal reasoning and numerical skills to the equivalent ability level. Membership of a professional body in a building, construction or asset management related field. Ideally you will have Legionella: Role of the Responsible Person; Part 2 Technical.
