Hays Social Care are currently representing a large care provider, who are looking to add support workers to their team on a permanent basis in a residential setting in Knaresborough. The position is based in a large residential service, providing care and support to customers with learning disabilities and complex care needs. They believe that by providing great living environments, they create a place of safety where individuals can experience meaningful opportunities, be involved in their community, and live independent lifestyles.

Your new role

Within the role of Support Worker you will support adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and complex care needs in their everyday lives, supporting them to live as full a life as possible and to engage with the community. You will provide physical and emotional support and health care of the highest standard, ensuring that respect, dignity and confidentiality is maintained at all times.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful applicant will have an interest in care and be able to demonstrate the right values. Ideally, you will have a minimum of 6 months experience within a similar environment supporting adults with complex needs and either own a car or be able to travel flexibly on public transport.
