Bluebird Care brings a breath of fresh air to the trials and tribulations of care at home. Building on extensive experience within the caring professions, Bluebird Care has revolutionised the way care is delivered by concentrating on high quality customer service, whilst at the same time upholding the very best in professional care provision.
We have proved successful because we offer the service people want. We don't tell people what they can have. We believe that the people we provide care for are first and foremost customers. In that way everyone understands exactly what they can expect. And that is "Good Old Fashioned Service."
A positive can-do attitude
Paul Tarsey, the company's managing director, first worked in domiciliary care, or as it is more often known care at home, nearly 20 years ago. As such Paul has seen huge changes in the way that care is delivered. "Back in the eighties you needed virtually no experience or qualification to run a care agency and that very risky situation is really what started me on my drive for quality and high standards in care", says Paul. "When people start to look for care at home for a loved one or for themselves they need simple and straightforward language and a system which makes starting up a care package as simple and straightforward as possible. That is why everyone within Bluebird Care has a positive ‘can-do’ attitude".
Caring for people as part of our own family
"There is a very simple way that we at Bluebird Care measure the way we deliver care. It's obvious to us that all staff members need to be of the right temperament and attitude in the first place and then we train monitor and supervise our staff closely and effectively. However the most important fact is that we will only deliver to the level of care that we would expect for our own vulnerable friends or relatives. That way we know we have got it right!"
The early days
Paul started Bluebird Care with his wife Lisa Tarsey who has also worked in care for many years. "My first professional experience of domiciliary care was in 1993 when I joined a company in my native Suffolk. Before then I had looked after relatives who needed care but had never been in a professional care environment. I realised very quickly that the service not only needs caring and competent staff to deliver the care but also professional and effective management to make sure that care is delivered safely and effectively," says Lisa.
Providing care to the whole community
Bluebird Care provides care not only to plder people but also to people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and to children and their families. Care can range from the straight forward fifteen or thirty minute visit right through to live-in care. With offices across the UK, Bluebird Care is fast becoming the nation's foremost provider of care-at-home.
