You will be joining an established housing association focused on making a difference to vulnerable tenants' lives. You will be joining a community focussed organisation providing a high quality service to their tenants.
Your new role
As a tenancy support worker you will be working full time (37.5 hours, Monday - Friday) on a temporary contract (3 months). You will provide extensive advice to tenants on their tenancy, providing the highest level of support to the organisation's supported housing project. You will encourage tenants to become more confident to increase their self control over their day to day life. You will support tenants developing a support plan to tenants referred to the scheme, this support will consist of pre-tenancy work, help with benefit forms, money, budgeting, debt management, advice on rent and arrears and ensuring the tenants understands their occupancy agreement and its conditions.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful within this tenancy support worker role you will need to have extensive experience in supporting vulnerable people. You must have working knowledge in supporting people with benefits, housing advice and tenancies. As you are working with vulnerable people you must have access to a DBS or the documents to produce a DBS on your behalf,
