Asset Manager

I am delighted to be recruiting for Lancaster City Council, who are looking to appoint an Asset Manager on a permanent basis to join their Property team, to effectively manage and review the council’s property portfolio maximising its potential.

Your new company
Lancaster City Council is a large, established public sector organisation managing a large, varied portfolio of property and land in the Lancaster district.

Your new role
You will be responsible for commercially and strategically managing the Asset Management function for Lancaster Council’s corporate property portfolio.
Effective asset management and property review service Produce strategies, policies and processes where council’s property is concerned
Lead and project manage specific property review projects, considering option appraisal and whole life costing Coordinate other professionals and contractors to achieve high standard delivery of projects efficiently
Manage and monitor the allocation, utilisation and occupancy of the council’s office accommodation
Develop and maintain statistical property performance data for the purpose of benchmarking
Identify room for improvement with council’s current method of operation in order to implement a more efficient way of working.
Plan, manage and supervise workload of self and team to achieve property actions within agreed timescales and budgets.
Undertake day to day management of Systems Administrator, Business Support Officers (x3) and Business Administration Apprentice including health & Safety.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will be an experienced property professional with MRICS/FRICS
Knowledge of strategic asset management across a diverse property portfolio
Strong ICT skills including proficiency in the use of the Microsoft

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a salary of £35,444 – £39,177 . The package will be dependent upon suitability and experience. You will also be enrolled into t he Local Government Pensions Scheme (LGPS).
