Income Recovery Officer, Temporary Contract, Housing Association, Full Time

You will be joining an established housing association in Swansea. This organisation develops housing within South Wales, providing housing and support, helping and engaging the community. This organisation is a community based service, offering tenants a quality service.
Your new role
As an income officer you will be working on a temporary full time basis for 3 months. As an income recovery officer you will offer advice and guidance with new tenancy set ups to confirm rent payment methods. You will assist in inputting repayment offers for the organisations tenants, ensuring they are fair and can be sustained by gaining an accurate overview of their income and expenditure through completion of a common financial statement through telephone, e-mail or face-to-face. As an income recovery officer you will conduct home visits to confirm repayment offers and serve Notices such as Section 21 and Notice of Seeking Possession for non-payment of rent. You will work with Housing Department regarding home visits that may be needed,to complete particulars of claim and represent the Association at court regarding subsequent possession and warrant hearings. You will also be expected to complete court evictions when required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful within your income recovery role you will need strong experience within this role and be able to hit the ground running. You must have strong knowledge in income recovery and rent arrears and be able to remain calm under challenging behaviour. To be successful in this role you must must have Capita/ Open Housing knowledge within the rent accounting systems to monitor high level rent accounts.
