BME Support Worker, Temporary Contract, Supported Housing, Mental Health
Your new company
You will be working for an established supported housing providing focusing on supporting service users who backgrounds in mental health and domestic violence.
Your new role
As a BME support worker you will provide floating support to service users with a background in mental health who are living in their own homes and to provide service knowledge and advocacy for black and ethnic minority women. As a BME support worker you will provide high quality housing related support to women eligible for the floating support service that may have complex needs, and provide practical and emotional support to service users with complex needs. As a BME support worker you will champion service user empowerment and involvement by ensuring the services are accessible to all potential service users. You will work within a recovery and psychologically informed approach, supporting service users to maximise their independence and wellbeing, sustain their accommodation and help build positive futures.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful within this role it is essential that you drive and have access to your own vehicle. You must have experience of key working in the fields of mental health, housing, floating services and supporting people. As well as experience of working in a person-centred manner focused on recovery.
