A 1 year Fixed Term Contract as an Administrator for a small Housing Association, paying up to £24,000 pa.

Your new company

A small Housing Association in Central London set up by the Council is currently looking for an enthusiastic administrator to join a small but fun team of 5, with a varied workload and heaps of exposure to different areas within Housing.

Your new role

The purpose of the role will be to provide effective and efficient administrative assistance to the Operations Officer, whilst supporting the Chief Executive and the Board.

A big chunk of the role will be finance related, including processing invoices, raising purchase orders, resolving payment queries and keeping records of financial transactions- this will be the type experience that is essential for you to have.

Other main responsibilities include a mixture of general administrative responsibilities such as diary management, arranging meetings and minute taking, responding to resident enquiries, maintaining archive files etc. As well as some more specific responsibilities such as supporting the running of the Intermediate Rent Scheme, liaising with the council’s Home-ownership and Housing Management team, conducting property viewings etc.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be a team player, happy to support other team members as you will view no job too small. You will be a self-starter, able to manage your own workload and meet varying deadlines. You will be extremely organised and forward thinking, with excellent attention to detail.

You will need to understand the importance of meticulous record keeping and be able to build rapport with people of all levels and backgrounds. Ideally you will be interested in affordable housing and development, and at the minimum have experience within the financial aspects aforementioned.
