Principal Planning Consultant Staffordshire Full-time Permanent £35,000-£40,000

Your new company

You will be working as part of a large private and public sector consultancy group based in Staffordshire. This consultancy group is well established and is one of the largest consultancy groups in the West Midlands. The company is seeking an experienced Principal Planning Consultant to join their growing team to provide to external clients with a high quality, timely and outcome based management services. This role is based in Staffordshire, with the possibility of home working for the right candidate. You will be working full-time at 40 hours per week and you will be offered a salary of upto £40,000 depending upon experience plus benefits.

Your new role

As a Principal Planning Consultant, you will be part of an ambitious and successful team providing high professional advice on planning matters to clients, members of the public and other professionals as necessary. You will be responsible for providing concise and accurate reports and recommendations on major planning applications. You must be able to provide a high level of professional advice on planning matters to clients, members of the public, and Councillors. As part of your responsibilities, you must have a high level of current legislation and policy knowledge.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role, you will be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and you must have experience of working as a senior /principal planning officer or consultant in the private or public sector. You must have a high level of knowledge and understanding and application of current and upcoming planning legislation. Strong communication skills and an organised positive attitude is a must.

What you'll get in return

You will receive a generous salary of £35,000 to £45,000 depending upon experience. You will receive 23 days holiday and benefits. There is the possibility of home working for the right candidate and you will also be given assistance with travel for up to 100 miles.
