Deputy Director of Housing needed for an interim 6 month contract in Caerphilly

Your new company

You will be working for a local housing association in South Wales who provides support and housing to their local community. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a forward thinking dynamic housing association who are growing and developing at an exciting pace.

Your new role

As a deputy director of housing you will be working in Caerphilly on a full time (35 hours per week) 6 month contract. You will be responsible for making a positive contribution to housing services in Wales, shaping and delivering the targets of Welsh Government and associated Local Authorities. You will lead an energised, professional, collaborative Neighbourhood Team in identifying and delivering innovative, transformational change through modern services, driving business performance, effectively managing risk and developing strong partner relationships. As a deputy director of housing you will lead the team in the delivery of frontline customer service, housing management, customer engagement and financial inclusion activity, promoting and delivering services through digital transformation, ensuring that activity is targeted appropriately and that where possible inputs maximise tenancy sustainability. As a deputy director of housing you will increase tenant engagement and voice thus maximising the impact of the Association’s community investment, community development and tenant participation programmes. You will lead a strong team of housing managers, team leaders and front-line workers to develop and improve services across the association.

What you'll need to succeed

To be a successful deputy director of housing previous experience in a senior level is essential. As a deputy director you must have current experience of neighbourhood management. To be a successful deputy manager you must be a successful leader, innovator, a trendsetter, and a progressive thinker who can connect the strategic aspirations of a cross section of like-minded organisations. You will need to understand policy context for public and 3rd sector service organisations. You will need a clear understanding of the issues facing our business, people, customers and partners. Most importantly you will need the passion to help your community.

What you'll get in return

Not only are you offered a very competitive hourly rate but you will be offered free parking on site, mileage and a free DBS check. This is a great organisation if you are looking to build on current skills as well as learn and develop new ones.
