Homeownership experience needed

Out client based in South West London is looking to recruit a Homeownership Officer on a 3 month contract to be responsible for the administration of functions consistent with promoting and achieving low cost home ownership for residents and those working in the borough, including Right To Buy, Tenant Incentive Scheme, Social Home Buy, Leasehold to Freehold, shared ownership and intermediate rent.

You will also be responsible for the below

  • Collaborate, inform, and implement the Home Buy marketing plan to ensure the delivery of the unit’s key performance indicators and facilitate complimentary working between this and customer relationship function
  • Maintain up-to-date information on all current and pipeline sites and successful purchasers and assist in the publicity of these sites for the Council.
  • To administer and implement all aspects relating to freehold sales, loft sales, lease extensions and land sales. Liaise with all parties concerned to administer the sales process
  • To process applications for Landlord’s Consent to alterations, ensuring that applicants meet and supply all relevant criteria for licences.
  • Provide information and support to leaseholders on matters relating to lease extensions and variations
  • Liaise with the Service Charges Team and Legal Services in connection with property boundaries, services and service charge percentages.

To be considered for this role you will need an understanding of low cost home ownership products currently available and in development. You will also need the following:

  • Excellent customer care skills with an ability to translate complex information making it easily understood
  • A good understanding of financial products to support access to home ownership.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and to work with initiative and minimum supervision as required
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Basic IT skills and a willingness to undertake further training as required
