Housing Options Officer needed for a full time ongoing temporary role in Cheltenham

You will be working for a local housing provider who focuses on supporting their local community.

Your new role

As a housing options officer you will be working on a full time, ongoing temporary basis. You will be managing your own caseload of housing applications and offering advice and solutions to service users' housing needs. As a housing options officer you will be focusing on minimising homelessness and carry out assessments and decisions on the homeless act. As a housing options officer you will be expected to make your own section 184 decisions and have working knowledge on the housing action 1996, 2002 homelessness act and working knowledge of the homelessness reduction bill. This is a great opportunity for an experience housing options officer to make a difference to the local community.

What you'll need to succeed

To be a successful housing options officer you must have working knowledge within the homelessness field. You must relevant up to date knowledge of housing legislation and be able to work confidently around Section 184 notices and assessing housing needs. This role requires excellent communication and the ability to be empathetic and supportive to your case load.
