Supported Housing Manager in Gloucestershire to provide housing management with young people's accommodation

Your new company

You will joining an organisation who provides temporary and permanent accommodation to young people aged 16 years +. You will be joining a dedicated team who sees the best in each one of their young people, and look beyond the surface to get to know and understand them. You will be joining a forward thinking organisation who tailors their style to help their service users achieve the best outcomes for themselves.

Your new role

You will be working as a supported housing manager in Bristol covering young people's projects around the Bristol area. You will be managing a team of support workers, housing workers and key workers overseeing support plans and achieving the best desired outcomes for their young service users. As a supported housing manager you will take a lead on projects ensuring each project is smoothly running to it's best capacity. As a supported housing manager you will be working on a full time temporary basis with the opportunity to go permanent after 2 months. You will champion service user empowerment and involvement by ensuring service are accessible. As a housing manager you will encourage support workers to work in strength-based and solution-focused ways and gather service users feedback and involvement to improve services. You will be working on a Monday - Friday basis but will also need to be flexible to cover limited weekends and evenings.

What you'll need to succeed

To be a successful housing manager you will need strong working knowledge in supported housing and particularly young people support. You will need strong leadership skills and be able to manage in a person-centred way. To be a successful project manager you will also need to have excellent communication skills. You must have working experience in a support environment as well as previous management experience.
