Your new company
My client are an incredibly friendly and forward thinking children’s service provider who provide specialist therapeutic residential care and treatment for children and young people aged 5 to 18. My client was established in 1990 and has grown from strength to strength since then now have 4 children’s services situated in rural surroundings in West Berkshire. They are incredibly passionate about the children they support and their main focus is their development and rehabilitation. They also own multiple horses which all the children and young people have access to help with emotional growth and learning. They are an incredibly energetic, friendly and transparent company who are looking for lively, passionate and committed individuals to join their team.

Your new role
You will the Registered Manager of a Children's Service that provides support to 2 young people with Autism
As the Registered Manager you will oversee a team of social care professional, ensuring that the Home’s policies and procedures are adhered to and that resources are managed effectively. You will establish and monitor high quality standards of care in line with the children’s homes regulations and quality standards and the Home’s Statement of Purpose and developing quality assurance measures to ensure these standards are maintained. You will be the responsible person in managing child protection concerns and complaints. You will ensure that each young person has a plan which reflects his / her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs and that this plan is regularly reviewed.
You will also need to be flexible due to the nature of the role and be willing to not just commit to working the usual 9-5. This is an incredibly rewarding role and the perfect opportunity for a Deputy Manager looking to progress.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you must have experience and knowledge of the OFSTED inspection framework. You will have proven management experience within a children’s home setting and an excellent understand Childcare legislation and Safeguarding. You will have an understanding of the needs of BESD Children and an ability to manage challenging behaviour. An NVQ4 Residential Care or equivalent and Level 5 Management qualification is also desirable although not essential.

Full UK Driving Licence is essential due to rural location.
