Your new company
You will be joining an established organisation which places the service user at the heart of everything they do. This organisation is focused on supporting vulnerable people in the community. This organisation primarily supports service users are whose lives have been held back by a range of social issues and concerns, including substance misuse and other forms of addiction, homelessness, poverty, unemployment, domestic abuse, mental health issues and offending. Therefore, they are committed and passionate about getting service users lives back on track

Your new role

  • Raising the external profile of The Alcohol Service across the 3 Boroughs
  • Developing pathways and joint working initiatives with partner agencies
  • Actively plan and engage with underrepresented groups within the 3 Boroughs
  • Increasing the number of individuals accessing specialist alcohol treatment
  • Supporting the reduction of individuals who disengage following assessment
  • To offer assertive follow up and increase retention
  • Increasing the number of individuals successfully completing treatment
  • Increasing the number of GP referrals, to improve engagement and outcomes

To provide outreach services and work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team at the service named above alongside specialist agencies to deliver high quality provision by:

  • Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment journey.
  • Providing outreach services, to engage those who present with alcohol misuse issues into treatment.
  • Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral.
  • Reducing alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community.
  • Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.
  • Providing advocacy for access to partnership services.
  • Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience working within substance misuse
Ideally signed up-to the DBS Update Service or hold a Hays Enhanced DBS
Available immediately
